PREDICTION: Daniel A. Grabauskas Will Be Charlie Baker's Lt. Governor Running Mate

by: Atticus

Fri Aug 07, 2009 at 11:17:10 AM EDT

Another DUMB move by the clueless Patrick Administration in removing Dan Grabauskas as head of the MBTA. It was an unnecessary and politically foolish if not disastrous move.

Expect Republican Candidate for Governor Charlie Baker to pick Dan Grabauskas to be his running mate as Lieutenant Governor in the up coming race.

As is well know Grabauskas is Gay but beyond that he made the Registry of Motor Vehicles work which Rachael Capralian (D)Athol or Marblehead has destroyed.

Baker/Grabauskas could easily defeat the sadly incompetent Patrick/Murray ticket.

And Deval Patrick's injuries are all self-inflicted.

...Grabauskas is Gay but beyond that he made the Registry of Motor Vehicles work

I'll leave the first part of that moronic statement stand for itself.  The second part, forget the DMV, how did he do with the MBTA, that was his job.

Plus, Rachel's name starts with a "K" and she was my Rep when I lived in Watertown.

Listening to Charlie Baker talk about fiscal responsibility is like getting lectured on abstinence from Paris Hilton - Tim Murray

Besides, if you've been to the RMV lately, you know better (0.00 / 0)
Opening branches in the malls was brilliant, but apparently costly.  They're all gone now and the Registry is back to it's old dehumanizing glory.

(Excuse my bitterness, I've spent 7 hours there over the last week).

nazi like? get a grip. (0.00 / 0)
My point is it's just as inefficient as ever.  Mr. Grabauskas made no lasting improvements.

Can you give examples of specific changes made by the new administration?

Excuse you (4.00 / 1)
Charlie Butcher has to win the Republican primary first. Sorry, democrats can't vote in the Republican primary. What you want, and what we Republicans want are different. We're even going to elect Republican congressmen next year.

Your optimism is touching, but ... (6.00 / 1)
Your grip on reality seems strained.

Sure, Charlie Baker has to win the Republican primary. As far as I know, he anchors the left wing of the Massachusetts GOP -- the rest of the party seems to be somewhere to the right of Attila the Hun.

Unless you are predicting that some progressive left-leaning Republican gubernatorial candidate will materialize with full campaign fund between now and primary season, you seem to be arguing that MA voters will suddenly lurch rightwards in unpredicted support for ... for whom, one of our local Rush Limbaugh clones? Howie Carr maybe? Good luck on that.

As far as electing Republicans for Congress, you'll have to field some candidates first. They'll do better if they don't have criminal records. Then you and the seventeen other Republicans in Massachusetts can try and get them elected.

So long as you and your cronies keep echoing the national GOP insanity, you'll stay properly mired in utter and complete obscurity. The only reason the GOP is discussed at all today (other than in crime and scandal stories) is to sustain people's attention (ie, ratings). As genuine political force -- and as a source of any sort of positive contributions to addressing the enormous challenges we face today -- the GOP is dead and gone.

"If the Republicans will stop lying about the Democrats, the Democrats will stop telling the truth about the Republicans" -- Adlai Stevenson
