Still Undecided?

(Excellent resource! - promoted by David)

The election is Tuesday. Haven't decided yet who you are voting for in the Boston Mayoral and/or At-Large Council races?

Want to know where the candidates stand on issues ranging from affordable housing to youth violence to economic development?

Then check out the Progressive Voter Guide, brought to you by the JP Progressives.

It's chock full of detailed answers from the candidates on a whole range of questions. If you're looking for substance, this is the place to go.

Learn more after the jump....

JPProgressives :: Still Undecided?
How did We Make This Thing?

Each Mayoral and At-Large City Council candidate was invited to fill out a Questionnaire created by the members of the JP Progressives on a number of topics of importance to the group, including affordable housing, development, education, youth violence, budget and revenue policy, accountability and transparency, energy and the environment, transportation, jobs and labor, race and diversity, and human services.

In addition, we invited each candidate to speak, answer questions from the group based on their questionnaire, and meet members of the JP Progressives.

All told, we received responses from all four mayoral candidates as well as 12 out of 15 At-Large City Council candidates. (Now cut down to 2 mayoral candidates and 7 of the 8 At-Large Candidates, minus Doug Bennett, who chose not to respond.)

There are plenty of ways to interact with the Progressive Voter Guide:

- Download a PDF read the whole thing

- Watch a video of each candidates' opening remarks to the group.

- Read the guide online and search by candidate or topic.

Who Are the JP Progressives, Anyway?

Jamaica Plain Progressives is a group of active Jamaica Plain residents working together to organize our community around progressive values. Formed in March 2009, we're working to build progressive electoral power, mobilize around issues of importance, build the progressive community, and engage the greater Jamaica Plain community in the democratic process.

Oh, and we like to have a little fun while we do it. Meetings are productive but informal, and post-meeting socializing over drinks always encouraged.

How Can I Get Involved?

We're always looking for new members. Sign up for our email list on our website or email moreinfo@jpprogressives.com for information.

Did you find the Progressive Voter Guide helpful? Then please let your friends, family co-workers and neighbors know about the project.
