Thank you, Governor Patrick, for your choice

(That goes for all of us. - promoted by Charley on the MTA)

Thank you, Governor Patrick, for heading back to Massachusetts to be with the loved ones of Pfc. Paul Conlon tomorrow for the funeral of the young serviceman, recently killed while serving in Afghanistan.
oceandreams :: Thank you, Governor Patrick, for your choice
Like Lt. Gov. Murray, Governor Patrick will be missing a big night honoring Senator Kennedy.

But Gov. Patrick will also be making the lengthy roundtrip tonight and then back tomorrow right before his own nationally televised convention speech tomorrow night. It's an important moment for the governor, but he put the family and friends Pfc. Conlon first.

My last post awhile back was a criticism of the governor's staff (over what I considered to be a poorly worded memo to supporters). But fair is fair. This is the action of what in Yiddish we call a mensch, an honorable person. As a representative of the people of Massachusetts, my thanks.

There was NO choice. (6.00 / 1)
There was only one acceptable option.

Murray and Patrick were in the right place at the right time...for the right reason.

How sad is it (0.00 / 0)
That after Welducciomney, we're still pleasantly surprised when our governor acts like he wants to be our governor?  Deval's been doing a lot more good than bad over the past few months.  Hoping it continues.

Believe it or not, I have even more to say...

Update: here is an article about Paul Conlon: (0.00 / 0)
Very sad.
