Primary night RESULTS OPEN THREAD!

by: David

Tue Sep 19, 2006 at 20:00:00 PM EDT

>>> Click here for election results from CBS <<<

The polls are closed.  Are you hanging around a polling station waiting for the tallies to go up?  When you see 'em, let us know!

Also, check out the live webcast on CBS4 - you can get to it from this link.  I'm one of the guests, along with Paul McMorrow of the Weekly Dig and Matt Margolis of Hub Politics.  Jack Williams is moderating.  Should be fun.

rollbiz,

Where are you getting the precinct-by-precinct results?

Thanks! :)

[ Parent ]
re: precinct results (0.00 / 0)
you can pick up a copy of the (unofficial) results at the polling place after it closes

[ Parent ]
Yeah, what rolls said... (0.00 / 0)
I worked this polling place tonight, and you are able to request to be given numbers when they come out to report back to the campaigns. That's how I and I would imagine the others here got their numbers.

Free your mind, and your ass will follow.

[ Parent ]
Patrick winning in every town with results so far posted (0.00 / 0)
I just checked the town by town results on boston.com and Patrick was ahead in every single town or city that had results posted, admittedly only 40 odd precincts but still striking that nowhere was either Gabrielli or Reilly ahead. That will likely change by the time this comment is posted.

Channel 38 News Projects Patrick Win (0.00 / 0)
Channel 38 news has just projected a Deval Patrick win (based largely in new results coming in from Boston).

CBS News 4 Also Projects Patrick Win (0.00 / 0)

[ Parent ]
Channel 4, too (0.00 / 0)
Channel 4 declared for Patrick, too.  I'm as optimistic as any of Deval's supporters, but this still seems premature.

[ Parent ]
Look at the results (0.00 / 0)
I think this is pretty solid projections.  Apparently Patrick is winning even in precints where Reilly's campaign thought would be their strongholds.

[ Parent ]
NBC 7News Also Declares for Patrick (0.00 / 0)
Looks like that's all the big Boston stations -- 4, 5 and 7 -- lead by spunky TV38 News, calling it for Patrick.

[ Parent ]
WBZ as well (0.00 / 0)
I was in the car picking my gf up and went "Whaaa?  That can't be right."

[ Parent ]
And finally, the AP projects Patrick Win (0.00 / 0)
It must be true.
(Especially since the other candidates are in the middle of their concession speeches.)

[ Parent ]
Arlington results (6.00 / 1)
Who says Arlington is anything but cool? The results here:
Deval: 5699
Gabrieli: 2287
Riely: 2058

Jim Marzilli

WBUR reports WCVB (Channel 5) calls it for Patrick (0.00 / 0)
The conservative pundit reads this as an indicator of a Patrick landslide.

[ Parent ]
Confirmed (0.00 / 0)
Just saw on Channel 5 - they "declared deval patrick the winner"

[ Parent ]
And for LG (0.00 / 0)
Arlington  LG
Goldberg 3079
Murray  3460
Silbert  3069

The Globe has the candidates' best and worst towns.  Look at how well Murray did in Worcester County.

This is a wonderful ticket.  We can win in November!

 Only the cod is sacred.

Channel 4 declares... (0.00 / 0)
....Patrick the winner!

BTW, I am out in California on vaca this week, and the channel 4 webcast is actually really good.  Props to channel 4 and to David from here.

Boston.com (0.00 / 0)
is reporting that in Boston, with 225 out of 254 precints reporting, Deval has 56% of the vote in Boston.

I believe you mean... (0.00 / 0)
"225 of 2166 Precincts Reporting"... rahter than the 85% you mentioned.

Even more recent: 342 of 2166 -- 16%

[ Parent ]
Oops (0.00 / 0)
Last time I take boston.com at face value...I used their numbers.  This whole trying to follow from across the country is a little difficult.  Need to plan my vacations better.

Speaking of Boston.com, they are also reporting that Murray is having a press conference at 9:30.  Any guesses why?

[ Parent ]
Murray Press Conference at 9:30PM (0.00 / 0)
Saw that reference to the Murray press conference at 9:30 too.  Seems a little early for that race.

[ Parent ]
Well... (0.00 / 0)
He claims victory, says he spoke to Deval.  "Ready to rock."

Reilly will be conceding soon on 38.

Classy (0.00 / 0)
Reilly concedes, congratulates Deval, pledges full support to ending "sixteen years of Republican governors."

[ Parent ]
Smack (0.00 / 0)
Gabrieli concedes, endorses Deval, calls out Healey for running attack ads to influence the race (and makes fun of her for her "win" tonight).

They had some shots of her party - I swear it was entirely young white men in suits (a group of which I am a member, granted, minus the suit).

Healey's going negative already (0.00 / 0)
She's talking and she's got nothing to say but how Deval Patrick will destroy the state.  Nice positive campaign from her already...

Shorter Healey (0.00 / 0)
Patrick is a tax-and-spend, soft-on-crime LIBERAL!

*heads for the hills*

[ Parent ]
Fire your campaign consultants, Kerry. (0.00 / 0)
Nothing like the lieutenant governor trying to base her campaign for governor on a platform of change.

Good luck selling that to the people. If the Patrick campaign runs the second part of its campaign half as well as it ran the first, he will crush this poor woman.

[ Parent ]
Healey thinks (0.00 / 0)
she can launch a preemptive strike on Patrick while she has the attention of the viewers watching election results.

Thing is, a plurality of them are bound to be Patrick supporters, and all she'll accomplish is getting them more fired up than they are, if possible.

[ Parent ]
WBUR says Patrick victory speech at 11pm (0.00 / 0)
Pushed back from 10:30pm to allow some special guests to appear on stage with Deval.

.. (0.00 / 0)
Including Murray, which is likely why he claimed victory so early, so he could scoot down I-90.

[ Parent ]
As well as (0.00 / 0)
Reilly and Gabrieli. And Gabrieli launched a preemptive strike on Deval's behalf against Healey in his concession speech.

[ Parent ]
that was nice to see (6.00 / 1)
Unity and moderation is the ticket.

[ Parent ]
It's in the bag... (0.00 / 0)
But I just wanted to let everyone, particularly our Central MA folks, that Patrick took EVERY PRECINCT BUT ONE here in Worcester!

Free your mind, and your ass will follow.

Where are all the Gabrieli supporters? (0.00 / 0)
cmfost? president04? Bueller? Anyone?
